Welcome to Leslie Powell, Professional Tailor offering custom, made to measure suits
Leslie Powell Tailoring was established in 1948 by Leslie Powell the father of the current owner Alan, making us one of the oldest tailors in the UK.
We don’t have large overheads as we are not on the high street, our showroom and workroom are based in East Manchester less than a mile from Piccadilly station, with ample parking. It is for this reason that we can offer a made to measure service, using some of the worlds finest fabrics, with all that it entails, for off the peg prices.
The types of garment we produce are very varied, custom made suits for proms or first time interviews, made to measure suits for weddings, smart bespoke 3 piece tailored suits for business, Tweed jackets, linen jackets and Shooting jackets, Dress suits, Tuxedos, Golf club blazers, Lounge suits, Morning Coats for Ascot, Evening tails for a formal dinner, waist coats, jackets, trousers and overcoats, suits for Teddy Boys the list goes on and on…
Our customers too, come from all walks of life. Grooms, Barristers, Doctors Lawyers, Father of the bride to the whole Wedding Party, business men, entertainers, even a magician.
Ordering a made to measure is very easy and pleasant. Make an appointment to visit our showroom, where you will be made to feel comfortable and at ease by our friendly and experienced staff. Here you can browse through the suit lengths and swatch books, and discuss the style and cut of suit that you want. It doesn’t matter if it is all new to you, as we are only too happy to help and guide you. Buying a Made to Measure Suit is not a daunting task! In fact it can be great fun!
